No fun and frivolity in this post, I'm afraid.
Two friends of mine, C and L are in desperate need of positive thoughts and/or prayers sent their way. I've known L since my sophomore year of my (first) undergrad degree (close to 11 years now) and I've known C for nearly as long. L went into labor yesterday, which was good news. But, then they found out that their baby girl had aspirated meconium (I can provide you with definitions if you ask) and L needed to have an emergency CSection. Baby Girl wasn't breathing when she was born, but doctors brought her back, thank the Lord. Baby Girl is on a breathing machine in a NICU, and is slowly (painfully slowly) improving, but she has a long fight ahead of her. So I'm using the wide reaching convenience of internet and social media to please send positive thoughts, vibes, prayers, whatever you feel is powerful to you to their family. N and mine son, Little Man, was in the NICU for 17 days, and not nearly as sick as Baby Girl. I know how hard that was for ME, so I cannot fathom what C and L are going through.
